Limited 5-Year Seasonal Warranty

For incandescent light sets and other products with a 5-year seasonal light warranty.

Coverage

Vickerman Company warrants its products and lights against manufacturer-only defects in materials or workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase or 5,000 operating hours, whichever comes first. This is a Limited Seasonal Warranty, covering up to 90 days of use per year. Please read this warranty carefully and familiarize yourself with its restrictions and requirements.

Care & Use

  • Replace bulbs as they burn out; burned-out bulbs shorten the life of remaining bulbs.
  • After the season, store promptly in a cool, dry place not exceeding 100°F.
  • Product is not for outdoor use unless specifically stated on the product. Keep away from heat and moisture.

Remedy

Should the light strings fail within this period, Vickerman will, at Vickerman’s option, repair or replace the defective part at no charge for the part. If a replacement is provided, it will be shipped via the ground service carrier of our choosing.

How to Obtain Service

Return the defective section of tree/product with all of the following:

  • A copy of the dated sales receipt with the store name noted (mandatory)
  • The product UPC code
  • Your address and phone number

If you discard the original box, retain the UPC code in case warranty service is ever required.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

  • Damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, or normal wear
  • Burned-out, broken, or missing bulbs; unlit strings due to not replacing burned-out bulbs
  • Any alteration to the light sets or removal of the light sets from the product (voids the warranty)
  • Use outside the United States and Canada

Vickerman does not cover applicable fees or taxes when shipping into Canada.

Inspection & Returns

At Vickerman’s discretion, you may either receive a replacement part or be instructed which part(s) to ship prepaid to Vickerman for inspection and remedy determination. All items/parts sent to Vickerman must be properly packed in an appropriately sized, sturdy carton. Vickerman is not responsible for damage to items en route to Vickerman.

Limitation of Liability & Arbitration

Repair or replacement as provided by this limited warranty is the exclusive remedy to the consumer and does not make Vickerman Company liable for any incidental or consequential damages. All arbitration is handled in the State of Minnesota.
