Hinged Tree Assembly
Hinged Tree Assembly Instructions
Helpful Hints
- Read all instructions completely before assembling your tree.
- The model number is printed on the carton. Use this number to identify your tree if any questions arise.
- Save the carton for off-season storage.
- Use miniature tree lights.
- Replacing burned-out bulbs promptly helps the remaining bulbs last longer.
- Handle wiring and bulbs with care during packing and unpacking to prolong the life of the lighting set.
Before Assembling
- Choose a clear, level location near a wall outlet.
- Open the tree stand and tighten the locking screws.
- Carefully insert the bottom section of the tree into the locked stand (the bottom section has the point). Ensure all wires remain clear of the stand opening when joining sections.
- Allow branches to fall into place or gently pull them out and down. Important: When adjusting branches, make sure all wires are free of branch hinges.
- Locate the stacked plugs in the tree section and plug the stack into the extension cord on the tree pole. Do not separate any plug from the stack.
- Plug the extension cord into the wall outlet. The section should light. If not, check the plug stack for loose plugs and inspect for broken or missing bulbs. Replace bulbs as needed.
- Insert the middle section into the top of the bottom section and repeat steps 4–6.
- Insert the top section into the top of the pole on the middle section. Repeat steps 4–6. Plug the single plug for the top section into the top outlet of the middle section.
Shaping
Main Branches: Work from the branches closest to the pole. Fan out one branch to the left, one to the right, and one centered on the main stem. Alternate branches so they do not align directly behind one another. At the end of each stem, the center tip should extend straight out. Gently curve each branch to create a natural look.
Upper Layers: Pull down the lowest layer of the top section in an even circular pattern. Repeat for each layer, working upward. Curve each branch slightly upward into position. Bend the very top branch straight up.
Top Section: Install the tree top by inserting it into the hole provided at the top of the pole. Shape to match the rest of the tree.
Storage Tips
- Unplug the power strip from the wall outlet.
- Unplug each section from the extension cord. Do not separate any plug from its stack.
- Gently lift off the top and middle sections, then remove the bottom section from the stand.
- Place the tree back in its box, taking care not to damage wiring or bulbs.
- Store in a cool, dry place where the temperature does not exceed 104°F (40°C).
User Servicing Instructions
